SHORT BIO

Oliver Dostál is an Australian composer and orchestrator working across screen, broadcast, production music and live performance.

A graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Oliver has composed and orchestrated music for film, television and major live performance, with work spanning professional recording at Trackdown Studios, production music for Australian television and streaming, and orchestration for touring symphonic concert productions. His experience includes more than 50 original production-music tracks, over 20 arrangements for the George Ellis Orchestra, and collaborative composition for the 2021 AFL Grand Final.

Classically trained in composition and orchestration, Oliver combines orchestral writing with contemporary production and a strong focus on musical storytelling across visual and live media.

Alongside his creative practice, Oliver is a practising solicitor with a particular interest in intellectual property, copyright, contracts and the commercial frameworks supporting creative work.
